Last updated: 1 January 2026 · Applies to the Pawse.ai beta program

This policy covers the Pawse.ai beta program at beta.pawse.ai. It applies to beta testers and to data collected through the beta signup form, the beta support form, and the pre-release app. The full production privacy policy is available at pawse.ai/privacy.html.

Who we are

Pawse.ai is a product of Catalyst.Music. We build adaptive acoustic environments for dogs. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you participate in our beta program, how we use it, and what controls you have over it.

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Catalyst.Music is the data controller.

Data we collect

We collect data in three ways during the beta: data you submit to join the program, data you submit when reporting issues, and data generated by your use of the beta app.

Beta signup form:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your dog's name, breed or mix, and the situations you want to test
  • The devices you have available (iPhone, Apple TV, iPad)
  • Any additional notes you choose to include

Beta support form:

  • Your name and email address
  • The topic and description of your report
  • App version if provided

Beta app usage:

  • Your email address and account credentials when you register
  • Your dog's name, breed, age, and any sensitivity flags you enter
  • Session feedback you record after each acoustic session
  • Session logs including environment type, duration, and timestamp
  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • Crash reports and error logs
  • IP address and approximate location at account creation

How we use it

We use data to operate and improve the beta program. Specifically:

  • To assess and respond to beta access applications
  • To invite and onboard testers in waves
  • To create and manage your beta account
  • To generate and adapt acoustic environments for your dog
  • To respond to support and bug reports
  • To send beta-related messages such as onboarding instructions and updates
  • To diagnose technical problems and improve the app before launch
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build marketing profiles.

Dog profile data

The acoustic engine uses your dog's breed, age, and session feedback to personalise sound environments. This data is processed on our servers and stored in your account.

Aggregated and anonymised breed and response data contributes to model improvement across all beta testers. No individual dog profile is identifiable in this process.

You can delete your dog's profile at any time from within the app. Deletion removes all associated session history and removes the profile from future model training data.

Beta feedback

Feedback you submit during the beta, including bug reports, session ratings, written notes, and support messages, is used solely to improve the product before launch. It is not shared externally or used for any purpose other than development.

By participating in the beta program, you acknowledge that the app is pre-release software. Bugs, data resets, and changes to features should be expected. We may clear beta data between testing cycles with advance notice.

Third parties

We share data with a limited number of service providers who help us operate the beta program. Each is bound by data processing agreements and is not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

  • Cloud infrastructure and database. Beta signup data and app data are stored in Supabase, which runs on AWS infrastructure. Supabase processes your data under their own privacy policy and data processing agreement.
  • Support form delivery. Beta support submissions are sent via Formspree to our team inbox. Formspree processes your name, email, and message to deliver the submission.
  • Error monitoring. We use crash reporting to detect and fix bugs in the beta app. Crash reports do not include personally identifiable data.
  • Email delivery. Transactional emails are delivered via a third-party provider. They process your email address only to send messages we initiate.

We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics platforms.

Retention

Beta signup applications are retained for the duration of the beta program and deleted within 90 days of the program closing.

Beta app account data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

Support submissions are retained for 12 months. Anonymised aggregate session data may be retained indefinitely for model development purposes.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you have rights over your personal data. These include:

  • Access. Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion. Request that we delete your personal data.
  • Portability. Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection. Object to specific types of processing, including profiling.
  • Restriction. Ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limiting which team members can read personal data, and regular security reviews.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].

Children

Pawse.ai is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 16, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies

This beta site uses a small number of cookies required for the site to function, including session authentication and security tokens. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect core site functionality.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. For material changes, we will notify beta testers by email before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
