Beta Terms

Acceptance

These Beta Terms form a binding agreement between you and Catalyst.Music, the operator of Pawse.ai. They govern your participation in the Pawse.ai beta program, including your use of the beta app, this website, and any communications with our team during the testing period.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not apply for or use the beta program.

The service

Pawse.ai is an adaptive acoustic environment platform for dogs. It generates personalised sound sessions based on breed, age, and use context to support canine stress regulation in situations including sleep, time alone, loud noise exposure, travel, and recovery.

Pawse.ai is designed for environmental enrichment and stress support only. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. It is not a substitute for veterinary advice. If your dog has a health concern, consult a qualified veterinarian.

Beta access

Beta access is provided free of charge on an invite-only basis. No payment is required to participate. Receiving beta access does not create any obligation on either side beyond these terms.

Beta invitations are personal and non-transferable. You may not share your beta access credentials or invite link with others.

We reserve the right to invite, pause, or revoke beta access at any time and for any reason, including the closure of the beta program or a change in testing scope.

Pre-release nature

The beta app is pre-release software. Features are incomplete, may change at any time, and may behave differently from the final product. You should expect bugs, crashes, missing functionality, and changes to the interface or experience between updates.

We may reset or clear beta data during the testing period, including dog profiles and session history. Where possible, we will give advance notice of a data reset.

Features available in the beta are not a guarantee of features in the final product. We may add, remove, or substantially change any part of the app before launch.

Accounts

You must create an account to access the beta app. You agree to provide accurate information at registration and to keep it current.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your credentials secure. Do not share your account with others.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the beta in any way that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of Catalyst.Music or any third party
• Attempts to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app or its acoustic generation engine
• Introduces malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Interferes with or disrupts the integrity or performance of the service
• Uses automated tools to scrape, extract, or harvest data from the platform
• Distributes, resells, or commercially exploits beta access or beta features without our written authorisation
• Publicly shares screenshots, recordings, or detailed descriptions of unreleased features without our permission

Your content and feedback

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the service, including dog profile data, session feedback, and bug reports.

By submitting content, you grant Catalyst.Music a limited, non-exclusive licence to use that content to operate the beta, including to generate and refine acoustic sessions for your account.

Feedback you provide during the beta, including written reports, session ratings, bug descriptions, and support submissions, may be used to improve the product. By submitting feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use it for product development purposes. We will not attribute feedback to you without your consent.

Anonymised and aggregated data derived from your sessions may contribute to model improvement. No individual profile is identifiable in this process. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Intellectual property

All content, software, algorithms, audio generation logic, visual design, and branding within Pawse.ai are owned by or licensed to Catalyst.Music. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the beta app for personal, non-commercial testing purposes only. This licence ends when your beta access ends or is revoked.

Confidentiality

The beta app and any features, designs, or functionality you access as part of the program are confidential and pre-release. You agree not to publicly disclose, publish, or share detailed information about unreleased features or functionality without our prior written consent.

General impressions and the fact that you are testing Pawse.ai may be shared. Detailed feature descriptions, interface screenshots, or audio samples from the beta may not be published without permission.

Disclaimer

The beta service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Catalyst.Music makes no warranties regarding the beta, including as to fitness for purpose, uninterrupted operation, or the accuracy of any output.

We do not warrant that any specific outcome will result from using the beta, including any particular effect on your dog's behaviour or stress levels. The beta is a testing environment and should be treated as such.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Catalyst.Music and its directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in the beta.

Because the beta is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising in connection with the beta program will not exceed €50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You can leave the beta program at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or deleting your account from within the app.

We may end the beta program, or your participation in it, at any time. We will give reasonable notice of a planned program closure. We may revoke individual access immediately if these terms are breached.

On termination, your licence to use the beta app ends. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including confidentiality, intellectual property, disclaimer, and limitation of liability.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these beta terms during the program. For material changes, we will notify testers by email before the changes take effect. Continued participation after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
